Who this is for

Single-member US LLCs owned by someone who is not a US person, with a transaction that has to be reported for the year. Whether your LLC has to file is explained in who must file Form 5472. The IRS instructions say a foreign-owned US disregarded entity cannot file Form 5472 electronically, so the packet goes by fax or by mail (see the fax number and mailing address page).

How it works

  1. Pay online at the fixed price. No call to book.
  2. Sign. After payment, you receive the engagement letter and consent forms to sign.
  3. Send your information. Once they are signed, you receive a questionnaire and the exact list of documents needed, with how to send them through a secure client portal.
  4. Amel prepares both forms from what you sent, with plain-language notes.
  5. You sign. Then the packet is faxed to the IRS and you receive the transmission receipt and the final copies.

What you receive

  • Form 5472 and the pro forma Form 1120, ready to sign.
  • The fax transmission receipt. It proves the packet was sent. It is not an acceptance by the IRS: the guide on proof of filing explains what proof exists and how to keep it.
  • Final copies for your records.

What this service does not do

  • It does not represent you before the IRS. If the IRS writes to you, Melya cannot speak to the IRS on your behalf.
  • It does not e-file anything, and could not for this form.
  • It does not say the IRS "accepted" your filing, and it does not guarantee you will not receive a penalty or a letter.
  • It gives no tax advice for your country of residence.

The penalty for a missed or incomplete Form 5472 is described in the penalty guide, and the filing dates and the extension in the 2027 deadline guide. A penalty notice that has already arrived is a separate question from preparing the form.

Formed your LLC with Doola, Firstbase, Stripe Atlas or another provider?

A formation provider creates the LLC. Whether the yearly Form 5472 is part of your plan depends on the provider and on the plan, so check in writing what is included, and for which years. Melya prepares the filing separately, at the prices above, from the same information about the year's transactions between you and the LLC. Melya is not affiliated with these providers.
